At the September meeting we conducted "taste tests" of gluten-free commercial snack bars. The products tested included Enviro Kids peanut butter Panda Bars, Clif Builders (peanut butter), Luna minis, Soyjoy, Zone Perfect all natural nutrition bars, and Lara bars. As expected, some were better than others, depending on your preference. However, it was good to see the variety available.

We welcomed Leo and Jessica to the meeting. We also discussed the upcoming Gluten Free Fair at Mt Hope Natural Foods in Cottonwood. It is Saturday September 27. Those who have not attended before were encouraged to attend.

We continued with our plan to approach local grocery managers about attaching small notices about this group to their shelves displaying gluten-free products. Barb volunteered to talk with the manager at the Basha's at Wal-Mart; Susanna said she would take the Basha's on the hill, and Jen said she would take Fry's.
